“Vinicius - Poetry, music and passion "is the most complete documentary made about Vinicius de Moraes. It was produced by Radio Cultura AM in 1993, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the poet and composer, and after two decades, it becomes available to the public again, to mark the centenary (on October 19th, 2013) of one of the most important Brazilian artists. The documentary will be broadcasted in association with Radio Batuta (www.radiobatuta.com.br) with Radio Cultura Brasil (www.culturabrasil.com.br) and the VM Cultural, which represents Vinicius’s family. A series of 32 programs, each nearly an hour long, has its script written by João Máximo, who also made the interviews and the presentation of it. He is one of the greatest experts in the history of Brazilian music and the biographer of Noel Rosa. Georgiana de Moraes, Vinicius’s daughter, took part in the production and interviews. There are testimonials from Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Baden Powell, Carlos Lyra, Edu Lobo, Francis Hime, Toquinho and several other artists, besides the brothers of the poet and three of the nine women whom he got married with.
